The road to Iran

It was an all-day taxi ride to the Iranian border. The road wound through a wide variety of landscapes; grassland, valleys, forests and high mountains. We stopped at a couple of monastaried along the way.

There were quite alot of local people chilling out at this monastary which was a 15 minuite drive into the forest from the main road. They were having a barbeque and stuff. It was nice.

When we eventually got to the town near the border in the late afternoon it was a small and sweltering place nestled amongst dry and rugged mountains. It was difficult for the taxi driver to find the B'n'B. But when we got in it was a very nice place.
